In recent years the Chamber HR and Recruitment Sector has organised events and seminars covering topics such as how a business can make themselves a Top 100 company to work for, practical advice on how to improve your company's recruitment process, effective advertising of positions and tips on retaining and motivating staff.

The Sector Committee is chaired by Carol Scott, who operates her own HR Consultancy business and has 25 years experience as a HR professional and Dominic Drain, of Anglia Ruskin University who runs their employment bureau, as Vice-Chair. Other committee members include HR managers from local businesses, HR and motivation consultancies and employment law specialists.

This sector allows like-minded people to network, share best practise and discuss any unanswered HR issues they might have with others, and we would very much like to see more HR directors and managers both at events and involved with the steering committee.
