The Owner Manager Sector aims to bring recognition to the contribution made by small and medium sized businesses to the local economy by providing them with a forum to present and celebrate local business achievements as well as providing a support network for owner managers.

The Steering Committee is chaired by Katie Hart and Andrew Heeler, Chair and Vice-Chair respectively. Katie is the Manager of Peterborough Enterprise Programme, while Andrew is a Partner at Hegarty LLP.

Katie of the Sector said: 'This sector has been set up to support owner managers who find running a business deeply rewarding, but who also feel quite isolated and unsupported within the local business community and by government. It is an opportunity for us to share and learn from each other's experience, to identify where business expansion is being restrained, to lobby for change and to influence the way business is done within the local economy.'
