Peterborough City Centre Management was established in 2006 to provide a framework to co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the city centre and to focus strategic efforts to enhance the city centre in the long term.
Annette Joyce, City Centre Director heads City Centre Management which takes responsibility for the city centre, street trading, street licensing, street wardens and CCTV.
City Centre Management is steered by and reports to an Executive Group which meets regularly. The Executive Group is managed by Peterborough Chamber of Commerce and chaired by its Chairman Iain Crighton. Other members of the group include property owners, retailers, Peterborough Cathedral, local media, residents, police, local authority and the local MP.
We will see significant redevelopment in the city centre over the next 15-20 years which Opportunity Peterborough will take a lead on. With the help of City Centre Management we will see improvements on day-to-day issues.
