“Communications powerhouse” cofinitive ranked No1 PR & communications agency in East Anglia in prestigious ‘Image Makers’ listings

January 14, 2021

The multi-award-winning Burwell-based company clinched the top spot in the prestigious ‘Image Makers’ rankings, compiled annually in Business Weekly newspaper’s coveted 2021 New Year Honours list.

During last year’s lockdown, some of the many important stories that cofinitive brought to national attention included the launch of Agxio, a game-changing new machine learning platform built entirely by the brilliance of AI to enable beyond-human-scale analysis and predictions, which was immediately listed in the Cabinet Office catalogue by the Government’s COVID-19 Response Team; AI Vivo’s AI-driven drug discovery, identifying the Top 31 candidate compounds for fighting coronavirus, highlighting dexamethasone; and the myiCUvoice app which enables ICU patients to communicate whilst mechanically ventilated or having undergone a tracheostomy.

cofinitive’s No 1 ranking comes hot on the heels of the company – which prides itself on a unique ‘pay it forward’ style of working – receiving an official Thank You from the Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mrs Julie Spence OBE QPM, for the part the team played during the pandemic.

The acknowledgement read: “As Her Majesty The Queen’s representative, I would like to thank you for the wonderful contribution you have made to the county during these extraordinary and challenging times.

It continued: “I understand you have been busier than ever promoting COVID-19 solutions and innovations and importantly translating academic patois into simple and easily understandable lay language – absolutely vital!!”

cofinitive – which specialises in strategy, marketing communication, PR, branding and engagement – was also recognised at national level by the leading industry awards, CIPR Excellence, when it was shortlisted alongside the world’s elite global firms including Ogilvy, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick and Edelman. For delivering a consistently excellent level of service for clients.

Closer to home, in Cambridge, cofinitive was also behind last year’s high-profile promotion of the state-of-the art Kao Data data centre campus, which has since been revealed as the home of the UK’s new supercomputer, NVIDIA Cambridge-1.

And, only last month, the agency organised a select roundtable gathering of some of the most influential thought leaders in the Cambridge technology ecosystem to explore Cambridge’s advanced computing landscape – to ensure our city retains its position as one of the premier hubs for supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the UK and Europe.

In awarding cofinitive the No 1 position, Business Weekly CEO, Tony Quested said:
“Our new No1 is the epitome of everything that defines a UK-leading communications powerhouse. cofinitive roared up the rankings to second place last year and eased into top spot this time around after a truly memorable 2020.

“Founder Faye Holland has added some excellent operators to her top team and her clientele is globally influential – none more so than the Kao Data centre in Harlow which is to host the new NVIDIA-Arm supercomputer.

“A thought leader with oak leaf and cluster, Faye doesn’t tell clients what they want to hear but what they ought to do. That takes guts. She is never less than honest and is prepared to engage if she thinks media contacts have misunderstood the message.

“If Business Weekly ever needed to appoint a specialist to promote the brand, Faye would be our first port of call.”

Faye Holland, founder and director of cofinitive responded: “Coming from Tony Quested and the Business Weekly team, who have been an intrinsic part of the regions ecosystem for 30 years, this recognition couldn’t mean more – and we are immensely grateful and over-the-moon!

“It goes without saying that the cofinitive team are absolute rockstars in what we deliver for our clients – but also good people wanting to do the right thing. The vision has always been to deliver impactful communications for companies poised to make a difference in the world, and we are truly proud to have worked with some amazing innovators over the last few years – they are what truly allow us to reach number one.”
