Forward thinking law firm launches virtual assessment centre for trainee recruitment

Top law firm Tees, which offers legal services to clients across Hertfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire, is delighted to announce the launch of its Virtual Trainee Assessment Centre for the recruitment of its new cohort of trainees, to overcome issues posed by Covid-19. The firm has long been renowned for its training excellence, winning Best Trainer in the Regional Law Firm category at the 2019 LawCareers.net awards.

Every year, the firm takes on academically strong, personable and ambitious young graduates to train with expert lawyers from a wide variety of departments.

The creation of a virtual assessment centre will enable Tees to continue to offer opportunities to talented young legal minds while respecting social distancing guidance and the safety of both staff and applicants.

The deadline for Tees’ 2022 Training Contract applications ends on 20 July, with the usual assessment day for shortlisted candidates taking place on 3 August. The only difference is that the day’s scheduled tasks, activities and interviews will all be conducted online, instead of in person.

There will also be a Virtual Vacation Day on 2 July, where some of those who have applied can find out more about Tees and get an insight to the assessment day.

“We are delighted to be able to move our normal Trainee Assessment Centre over to a virtual platform so that those individuals who have shown a keen interest in Tees will still have the opportunity to apply for one of our highly sought-after Training Contracts,” said Sarah Gladstone, the firm’s Training Manager.
