The Barcode leisure centre development in Plymouth is now the home to a Cineworld cinema, which boasts 12 screens including an IMAX theatre, described as the world’s most immersive cinema experience, plus 4DX. Kershaw worked closely with the onsite team to ensure they delivered their mechanical expertise on time and in budget ready for the grand opening in October.
The state-of-the-art Cineworld Cinema in Warrington also saw Kershaw deliver their mechanical services to the 13-screen cinema. Due to open early December, the Warrington Cinema will bring an immersive cinema experience to the local community.
The final Cineworld project Kershaw has been working on in 2019 is a nine-screen Cineworld, which comes as part of a £220 million City North development in Finsbury Park. The new cinema will be completed in 2020.
Whilst every cinema is different the team utilise their 20+ years’ experience working with Cineworld to provide a smooth delivery of mechanical services. A typical project may involve the installation of a full building management system, air conditioning, heating and ventilation.
Luke Ashton, Kershaw Mechanical Services Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to have continued the long-standing relationship we have with Cineworld throughout 2019 and we very much look forward to working with them throughout 2020.
