Rebecca works for Urban&Civic to develop links with local partners, businesses and communities. Urban&Civic are developing the 1420 acre site at Alconbury which encompasses the former Airfield and Grange Farm – effectively stretching from the A1 to the northern edge of Huntingdon. Urban&Civic are committed to ensuring the 20 year development plan for the site maximises economic, social and environmental benefits to the local area. The site includes an Enterprise Zone which aims to being 8000 jobs to the local area, and an outline application is being developed for 5000 homes, 700 acres of green space and a range of community facilities to support the development and fit appropriately within the wider area.

Rebecca is particularly involved in developing a skills and jobs brokerage scheme for the project, exploring sustainable community facilities and supporting community development for residents and businesses on the site, and working with local schools and communities to engage and involve them in the site’s future shape and development.
