How to start and grow your own consulting business

Independent consulting is a growing niche in a growing market sector. There are literally thousands of independent consultants. At a time when people may be re-evaluating their career paths, consulting maybe worth considering. Chris Dunn from Chris Dunn Consulting will share his story to those who aspire to start their own independent consulting practices.

The MCA (Management Consultancies Association) states that its members grew their business by 2.5 per cent in 2020, in spite of Covid, and forecasts further growth of 9.5 per cent in 2021.

The UK has quite literally thousands of independent consultants. Think management consultants, HR consultants, IT consultants, marketing consultants, sales consultants, design consultants etc.

Our speaker, Chris Dunn from Chris Dunn Consulting set up his business seven years ago and has worked for clients such as Electrolux, Beko, Domestic & General. As a consultant specialising in business change, business development and coaching, he will share five tips to help you to set up your own consultancy practice, how to land your first client and to grow your business.

“I hope the talk will be useful not only to those already in the consulting profession but to the many employees in the network who aspire to start their own independent consulting practices. If I can do it, so can they!”

Although Chris’ frame of reference is business consulting, the principles apply to all consulting types. Come and hear Chris’ story and ask any questions you may have.

The session will take place at 11.00am – 12.00pm on Tuesday 22 June. Please sign up to take part! Participants will be sent a link to join via Zoom prior to the start time.
