Capytech UK Ltd, a Cambridge-based company building custom e-learning, learning platforms and immersive training, is has organised a live
defence panel on Friday 2 October at 10:30 pm. Chamber members are very welcome to join, free of charge.
THE PANEL
Senior figures from three defence primes will debate whether AI-powered learning can become defence’s first line of support:
- Lucy Walton — Programme Manager, Support and Services Transformation, BAE Systems
- Chris Parker — Business Development Manager, Air Training, Lockheed Martin UK
- Jane Greenman — Chief Operating Officer for Saudi Arabia and Central Asia, Thales
All three are speaking from their own experience in a personal capacity, rather than on behalf of their employers. The panel is hosted by Amy O’Sullivan, Operations Lead at the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster, who are co-sponsoring the event with Capytech.
IT ISN’T A WEBINAR
The event is held in a virtual arena rather than on a video call. You arrive as an avatar, take a seat, and watch the panel live on screens above the stage. You can see everyone else in the room. When the panel finishes, branded booths open at the back and you walk over and start a conversation, no breakout rooms, nobody assigning you to a group.
It runs in a standard web browser. Nothing to install, and no VR headset.

The question is a defence one, but the problem isn’t: how much of your support cost, downtime and inefficiency comes down to somebody
not knowing something, and can AI actually fix that at the point of need?
