His Excellency Do Minh Hung
The Vietnamese Ambassador to the Court of St James’s (United Kingdom and Ireland)
Under the UK–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (effective 2021) and the UK’s CPTPP membership (from December 2024), up to 99% of UK goods now enter Vietnam tariff-free with simplified customs procedures. Working with your local Chamber can make this even simpler for you.
His Excellency Do Minh Hung is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the United Kingdom and concurrently to Ireland. A career diplomat since 1992, he has held senior roles at Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in key international postings, including Geneva, Brussels, and most recently as Ambassador to Israel. He presented his credentials to King Charles III in 2024.
Ambassador Do holds a degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, with further postgraduate training in the UK and Australia.
Mr El-Idrissi
Deputy CEO & Secretary General, Arab British Chamber of Commerce
Mr Abdeslam El-Idrissi has dedicated over 40 years to the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, serving in key roles including Director of Trade Services, Acting CEO, and currently as Deputy CEO and Secretary General. Throughout his career, he has played a central role in strengthening UK–Arab trade relations, building extensive networks with government bodies, business communities, and institutions across both regions.
In addition to his work in trade, Mr El-Idrissi served as a local government councillor for 20 years, where he chaired the Local Planning Committee and founded what is now the South East Chamber of Commerce. A frequent keynote speaker and widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading experts on UK–Arab trade, he is also an active member of the Institute of Export, where he previously served as Vice Chair of its London Branch.

A qualified lawyer in Brazil with postgraduate specialisation in Business Law and an MBA in Foreign Trade from FGV (Brazil) and Fordham University (New York), Marcelo is a Partner at RUCR Law and currently based in London. He advises Brazilian and international clients on international contracts, cross-border trade, and debt recovery across Brazil and Latin America, combining legal expertise with in-depth knowledge of foreign trade dynamics.

Amir serves as Deputy Director at MIDA London, where he leads efforts to position Malaysia as a leading investment hub for UK and European businesses. With deep expertise in investment promotion and economic development, he supports investors across sectors, including manufacturing, services, and the digital economy, by providing strategic insights and facilitating market entry into Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian region.
Emre Isik
Co-founder & CEO, Spaceflow AI | Researcher, Cambridge AI Safety Hub
Emre is an engineering student at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Machine Learning and Information Engineering. He is also a part-time researcher at the Cambridge AI Safety Hub, focusing on the safety and capabilities of large language models.
His past work includes leading a control systems research project at UCLA, published at the prestigious JMM conference, and developing advanced motion control algorithms with Analog Devices, which he presented at their Boston headquarters. With experience managing large technical teams and tackling high-level research challenges, Emre now serves as Co-founder and CEO of Spaceflow AI.
Susana Ojeda Huerta
Second Secretary, Embassy of Peru in the UK
Head of Economic and Investment Affairs
Susana Ojeda Huerta is a Peruvian career diplomat currently serving as Head of Economic and Investment Affairs at the Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom.
With a strong background in economics and diplomacy, she has held key roles at Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and recently completed a Master’s in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Oxford. She brings experience in international economic policy, consultancy, and academic research, and speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.

Sofia currently serves as the Investment Attaché at AICEP – the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency, stationed at the Embassy of Portugal in the United Kingdom. With extensive expertise in investment promotion, she advises foreign investors throughout their decision-making process across a wide range of sectors, providing customised insights, identifying strategic partners, and supporting the setting-up process in Portugal. Her strong academic and professional background in international relations, European studies, diplomacy, and economic development brings a global and multidisciplinary perspective to her work.
