This online workshop is designed for businesses and stakeholders across the visitor economy to explore current opportunities, share insight, and help shape future skills provision across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Delivered as part of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), the session will focus on strengthening the link between employers, skills providers, and regional priorities to ensure the visitor economy has the workforce it needs to grow and thrive.
Part 1: Understanding the Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP)
The first part of the session will introduce the Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP), coordinated by the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority.
Businesses will learn about the role of the LVEP, how it supports the development of the visitor economy, and the opportunities available for organisations to engage, collaborate, and benefit from this coordinated regional approach.
Part 2: Visitor Economy Skills Workshop
The second part of the session will be an interactive workshop focused on skills across the sectors that make up the visitor economy, including tourism, hospitality, culture, leisure, and related services.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss current and future skills needs, identify challenges in recruitment and training, and contribute employer insight that will directly inform LSIP priorities and future skills planning.
