Chamber Centenary

2017 marks a very special year for Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, one throughout which we will be marking the 100th anniversary of the inaugural meeting of Cambridge Chamber of Commerce which took place in the Guild Hall, Cambridge on 15 January 1917.

We will be spending the year commemorating this very anniversary with a series of special events, bringing members together to celebrate the many achievements of the business community and the role that Chamber members have played in changing the world we live in.

Our Business Women’s Sector will be marking the occasion with a series of initiatives designed to inspire future business women to become our entrepreneurs of the future, while our Learning and Skills Sector is working with Chamber member schools and colleges to hold a Young Entrepreneurship Challenge.

We’re determined to use this year of centenary celebrations to shine a light on our charity members and do all we can to encourage members to make connections with, and indeed provide both their time and professional expertise to, those who need it. We hope to inspire each and every Chamber member to get involved, both by undertaking activities ourselves at the Chamber and sharing them with you here in connected, and also by publishing a list of charity members that need your help each month.

We hope your company will want to be involved with and support us as we pave the way for another 100 years inspiring business success.
