Join us for this prestigious event in the spectacular surroundings of Peterborough Cathedral. A fabulous opportunity to listen to inspiring and motivational speakers, join in the debate and to network with other local business leaders.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year, the theme will focus on the part we can all play in building a gender balanced world, #BalanceforBetter.

The event will allow us to delve into issues that are central to career development of women, debate ways we can influence change, and take time to consider our own ambition, aspirations and barriers. Everyone will have the opportunity to share experiences in a supportive environment.

Introducing our speakers:

Christine Tacon CBE (Keynote Speaker) has been the Groceries Code Adjudicator since 2013, regulating the largest grocery retailers in the way they treat their suppliers. She is working to achieve behaviour change and a more equitable relationship between retailers and suppliers through persuasion and the promotion of good practices. She is also a non-executive director of the AF Group, a co-operative procurement business for agricultural members, and Chair of MDS Limited, a training provider for graduates in the fresh food and produce industry. Christine's professional background is as a Chartered Engineer with 12 years' experience in sales and marketing. Her early career was with Coats Viyella, Mars Confectionery, Anchor and Vodafone. For 11 years until 2012 she ran the Co-op's farming business and was awarded a CBE for services to agriculture in 2004 and recent recipient of 'Women in Agribusiness Demeter Award of Excellence'.

Linda Fogarty-Smith, Director of Talkspace, Stamford: How a Single Mum succeeded in a male dominated industry and the positive lessons learnt

Canon Sarah Brown from Peterborough Cathedral: Living off balance- the confessions of an incompetent trapeze artist. Her working life has never gone to plan but how openness to grasping opportunity and willingness to change has got her through this far!

We expect another sell out audience of 150 people from business and young people from local 6th form schools and colleges.

Registration is from 9.30am with tea/coffee and time to network. The formal part commences at 10.00am concluding at 12.30pm with a buffet lunch.

Everyone in the workplace is welcome regardless of gender and age - colleague, apprentice, trainee, graduate…no one is excluded!

Book now to avoid disappointment as places expect to sell out fast!
