Chamber's Charity Cycle Ride Success

Tuesday 18 July 2017

Chamber's first charity cycle ride a great success!

Chamber cyclists took part in our centenary charity cycle ride earlier in July. The event was spearheaded by our Construction Sector who were keen to raise some funds in support our charity members during our centenary year and arrange for a different style event.

Participants pedalled their way around a 50km circuit which started and finished at the Rugby Club in Fengate.

First to complete the course was Colin Brackley from Stanza and other member companies who took part were from DALROD, DT Architects, Cunnington Clark, cba Group, Olsen Metrix Marketing and Richardson Surveyors.
After the ride, Phil Elmer, Vice-Chair of the Construction Sector, said: “The Sector wanted to do something different as a centenary event, and as a keen cyclist saw this as an opportunity. Along with fellow committee members support we are really pleased with the turnout as a first event – so much so it will become an annual event in the Chamber calendar at the same time of year tying in with the Tour De France.”

Thanks to CircleFire, Lindum and SportsAid PB for their support!
