This month we welcome a delegation from Sri Lanka including the Minister for Education and Vice-President of the University of the Valley.

Mr V S Radhakrishnan, State Minister of Education, will speak about education, business and tourism in Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Education is part the Government of Sri Lanka that directs the formulation and implementation of policies related to primary and secondary education. His political objective is to promote political participation of disadvantaged plantation community and to ensure their socio, economic, education, culture and political rights.

Dr Peter Shephard, Vice-President of the University of the Valley and a British national, will be available to offer advice on markets in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He has over 40 years’ experience.

Links between the UK and Sri Lanka have always been strong and Britain is a top 10 investor in Sri Lanka.

This free event is open to all businesses and you don’t need to be a Chamber member to take advantage of this specialist networking opportunity. It’s designed so you can drop by at the end of the day between 5.00pm until 7.00pm, connect with others and exchange ideas, ask questions and offer advice.

You don’t need to book in advance to attend this event, simply join us in the Study Centre at the Moller Centre from 5.00pm.
