Golf Day secures hole in one for Air Ambulance

Tuesday 17 July 2018

East of England based Streets Chartered Accountants, a top 40 accountancy practice, hosted their seventh annual Charity Golf Day last month raising £5,813 for the Air Ambulance.

The total amount fundraised will be divided between the firm’s three regional charities; East Anglian Air Ambulance, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The event received fantastic support with 29 teams taking part and more than 30 local businesses sponsoring the day. There were Stableford individual and team prizes as well as competitions such as Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin, Beat the Pro and Hole in One.

Barbara McGee, Fundraising Manager at the East Anglian Air Ambulance, said: “We value the continued support of Streets Chartered Accountants, who enable us to keep our helicopters flying over the skies of East Anglia.

“To be associated with a local firm is so important to us and gives us the opportunity to raise the awareness of the fantastic work our crews do on a daily basis. Thank you for all that you do. Together we save lives.”

Commenting on the day, Streets Partner Jon Day said: "The support received this year has been truly fantastic and has helped us raise £5,813 for our three local Air Ambulance services.

“We’re delighted to be able to support our local Air Ambulance Services, who are the true winners of the day.

“A very big thank you goes to all those people who sponsored, donated, gave their time and helped in some way, without whom the day would not be possible.”

Streets’ eighth Charity Golf Day will take place on Friday 5 July 2019 at Lincoln Golf Club, Torksey.
