Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd, commented: “Considering the relative infancy of this funding opportunity, to receive such an abundance of interest is a testament to the community work that has gone beforehand by both parties driving the initiative.

“The purpose of this scheme is to provide those who do not conform with our Mick George Community Fund, the chance to apply through alternative means. The fantastic work being completed by volunteer led groups throughout the county should be applauded, and this is our way of doing exactly that. It is also great to see the wide scope of sporting activity that is taking place in the county.”
