Newmarket Racecourses celebrates our Emergency Services, NHS and Armed Forces with FREE entry for Dubai Future Champions Festival in October

Wednesday 5 September 2018

Newmarket Racecourses has today announced that all staff working in the Emergency Services, NHS and the Armed Forces will be granted free entry for advanced tickets for its autumn highlight, the Dubai Future Champions Festival, taking place Friday 12 - Saturday 13 October.

The offer serves as a thank you from Newmarket Racecourses not only to the personnel who work on Newmarket’s 39 racedays each year, but also to highlight and celebrate the lifesaving and critical work that the Emergency Services, NHS and Armed Forces undertake on behalf of the general public year round.

All Emergency Service, NHS and Armed Forces employees are eligible to receive a complimentary Grandstand and Paddock ticket for either day of Dubai Future Champions Festival. Tickets must be purchased in advance, are non-transferable and ticket holders must bring a valid form of identification with them on the day.

Newmarket Racecourses’ offer is launched on the same week as the first ever Emergency Services Day – also referred to as 999 Day – organised by the charity National Emergency Services Memorial (NESM) and which has won the backing of Prime Minister Theresa May. Emergency Services Day will take place for the first time on 9 September, beginning at 9.00am, to represent the ninth day of the ninth month. In addition, Newmarket Racecourses’ offer also marks the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the National Health Service.

Amy Starkey, Regional Director, Jockey Club Racecourses East Region, said: “We are delighted to announce our special offer for Emergency Service, NHS and Armed Forces staff, which will enable them to attend either day of the Dubai Future Champions Festival for free. We simply wouldn’t be able to stage our race meetings and music events without the guidance and support of the emergency services and as a thank you for all the hard work they do both here and across the country we are inviting them to enjoy a hard-earned day off at the races, free of charge, this October.

“The Dubai Future Champions Festival is the highlight of the Gold Season on the Rowley Mile and features world-class racing, amazing fashion and fantastic entertainment. We felt there was no more fitting occasion on which to reward the nation’s heroes.”
