Businesses to ‘unpack’ the plastic crisis at bi-annual food breakfast

Wednesday 19 September 2018

Professionals working across the food industry will discuss the latest trends in packaging and how businesses are working to meet both present and future challenges at an upcoming event organised and hosted by Roythornes Solicitors on 15 November.

Over 100 delegates will take part in a discussion regarding the decreasing use of plastics in the food sector, which has been driven primarily by consumer demand. Paul Jenkins, CEO of packaging consultancy The PackHub, will lead the discussion and share his expertise and insight with delegates regarding the latest trends in packaging today and how the industry is preparing for a very different future.

Held at the KingsGate Conference Centre in Peterborough, Roythornes – a national law firm which specialises in food and drink – organises the event which sees delegates enjoy a morning of networking, refreshments and sharing best practice with fellow industry professionals.

Mark Dodds, Marketing Manager at Roythornes, said: “We’re looking forward to another thought-provoking event. There’s no doubt that packaging, and specifically plastic, is a prominent topic at the moment this is a great opportunity to hear about the latest trends.

“With the addition of plenty of networking opportunities, the breakfast is the ideal event for anyone involved in the food sector. The event has become a key networking event in the calendar of Peterborough’s food scene and has continued to grow each year.”

The Food Business Breakfast takes place on 15 November 7.30-9.30 am at KingsGate Conference Centre, Peterborough. For more information and to register attendance, please go to www.roythornes.co.uk/site/events.
