Shape our Learning and Skills Agenda to Support your Business - Huntingdon
Tuesday 4 December 2018
A morning session to focus on helping businesses understand the skills landscape and giving you the opportunity to share concerns or issues relating to learning and skills.
Having difficulty finding the right provider?
Do you need help to work out how investment in skills can grow your business?
Are you confused by the constant changes to the qualifications and funding of learning and skills?
If so come and join us, share your views, challenges or frustrations to help us shape the future plans of the Chamber’s Learning and Skills network as they review their activities to be supportive to businesses allowing them to have access to an appropriately skilled workforce.
We’ll provide an update on the ‘skills agenda’ nationally and locally to set the context but will primarily be an opportunity to hear from businesses about the challenges they face and the role they want the Chamber to play in helping them to navigate the skills system and find solutions to their training and development needs.
The information gathered will help us to draft a proposal for future Learning and Skills activity, support and events.
You will also have the chance to take a tour of the new IMET facility before the meeting, arrival at 8.30am. IMET is a new advanced technical training centre conceived from an identified need to deliver higher-level training for the manufacturing, built environment and science and technology sectors.
Places are FREE and to be booked in advance by emailing Helen Bosett, Sector Co-ordantor or calling 01733 370809.
