An in-depth look at the importance of workplace investigations and how to get them right, providing you with the key skills and knowledge to conduct fair and effective investigations within your workplace.

This interactive course combines face to face training with a follow up webinar, providing delegates with a unique opportunity to embed their new skills and maximise the impact of their learning.

Problems can arise in any workplace. Most matters can be resolved informally but where informal resolution is not possible, an investigation may be necessary.

Investigations allow employers to deal with matters fairly and consistently. A properly conducted investigation enables an employer to clarify and establish the facts of a matter and make an informed decision as to whether there are grounds to call a disciplinary hearing, or dismiss a member of staff.

Employers could be held liable if a poor investigation leads to an unfair dismissal.

Delegates attending this course will gain understanding of the legislation surrounding investigations, as well as valuable key skills for the investigation process, such as gathering evidence and report writing.

Your face to face training on 7 February 2019 will be followed by an interactive webinar session on 28 February 2019. The webinar will provide you with the chance to reflect upon and boost the skills developed in the face to face training, as well as an opportunity to interact in a number of live question and answer sessions throughout the event.

We will also be looking at ways to enhance your interviewing techniques, heighten your awareness on how the conscious and unconscious mind works and the negative impact these can have on investigations.

In addition, we will be sharing key tribunal cases and considering what these mean for the investigation process.

All delegates will receive an electronic certificate of attendance for their participation in the training.

Suitable for delegates from all sectors of industry including: managers, supervisors, team leaders, HR professionals, business owners, Trade Union representatives, employee representatives and individuals who wish to enhance their CPD.
