Kershaw Group fly-high with their annual charity raffle

Tuesday 8 January 2019

Staff at Cambridge based Construction Company, the Kershaw Group, saw 2018 out in style at their annual Christmas lunch and charity raffle by raising 3,045 for Magpas - the air ambulance charity.

Funds were raised for the charity through staff donations and entry into the much anticipated Kershaw Group annual charity raffle. The raffle sees generous suppliers and contacts of Kershaw Group donate a range of prizes which are then raffled off throughout the Groups Christmas Lunch.

Magpas Air Ambulance is a charity which brings essential lifesaving care by land and air to patients in life-threatening emergencies in the East of England and beyond, it is not a state-funded service and relies on public donations to continue saving lives. Since 1971 they have treated over 60,000 patients.

This is not the first time the Group has supported Magpas through their fundraising initiatives, with the previous donations of 16,611 going towards their vital lifesaving work.

Peggy Burch, Contracts Office PA, who organises the Christmas Lunch and fundraising for Kershaw Group said: "Magpas is a fantastic charity, which we are proud to support. Volunteer doctors and paramedics give up their own time to provide vital lifesaving services for the charity.

"We are extremely grateful to the individuals and organisations who donated prizes to the raffle to enable us to raise funds for such a worthy cause."
