Art students support major regional festival

Tuesday 2 April 2019

Art students from Cambridge Regional College (CRC) will have their work featured in one of the region’s major arts festivals next month.

The Bridge Arts Festival, with takes place 6-7 April 2019, is one of the highlights in the Huntingdon and Godmanchester Twinning Assocation’s (HGTA) calendar. The principal aim of the HGTA is to further the good relationship between the towns of Huntingdon and Godmanchester and staff and students at CRC have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to support the festival.

Cambridge Regional College’s art students will have their work on display at Huntingdon Commemoration Hall for the two-day period.

Sue Breeze, Head of Creative Industries at CRC, is really looking forward to the weekend, saying: “We are delighted to be a part of this exciting art festival, which celebrates the twinning of Huntingdon and Godmanchester. Our students are always keen to be involved in community projects and being able to show their work alongside other talented artists is a real privilege.”

The festival will showcase over 40 individual artists, artist groups and performance groups, over the two-day event and venues include Huntingdon Town Hall, Godmanchester Queen Elizabeth School, All Saint’s Church, Huntingdon, Huntingdon Library, Saxongate, the Bridge and George hotels, Huntingdon Commemoration Hall and the Comrades Club, Godmanchester.
