#EachForEqual

March 30, 2020

Over one hundred people, representing business and education, attended the Chambers’ annual International Women’s Day event at Peterborough Cathedral on 6 March.

An inspirational setting for an inspirational morning, delegates were in awe of our keynote speaker Claire Lomas MBE who shared her story of how a freak accident left her paralysed but with shear strength, determination and support she continues with an active life by competing in marathons and other fundraising activities as well as being a mother to two young children.

Claire led the workshop which encouraged individuals to set a goal for 2020 and how they could achieve these.

The young people representing local 6th form schools and colleges benefitted immensely from engaging with so many local businesses as well as being inspired by our speakers.

Thank you to our sponsors Savills and NPS Peterborough who made it possible for Claire to be with us.

This event was led by the Chambers Business Women’s’ Committee, whose aim is to support the development of women in the business community. If you would like more information on future events, or how to join the group, contact the Chamber at enquiries@cambscci.co.uk.
