Businesses, residents and event organisers across Peterborough are being invited to help shape the future of leisure, entertainment and business events at the East of England Showground.
A new public consultation has been launched by Asset Earning Power Group (AEPG), a Patron of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, exploring ideas for how part of the historic venue could host a new programme of events in the years ahead.
The consultation focuses on a 50-acre area of the Showground, which benefits from established infrastructure including the Arena, exhibition halls and extensive parking capable of supporting large-scale events.
AEPG is seeking feedback from the local community, businesses and event organisers on the types of activities they would like to see hosted at the venue. Potential uses could include exhibitions and trade shows, live entertainment and music events, festivals, conferences and business events, as well as community and cultural gatherings.
The Showground has played an important role in the region for decades, attracting visitors from across the UK to major events and helping to support the local visitor economy.
