Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of the Peterborough Top 100 Awards, a new initiative celebrating the people who make a real difference to the city. The awards form part of a year-long programme of events marking 100 years of the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout 2025, the Chamber is celebrating its centenary with a series of flagship events, including the Peterborough Growth Summit, Business Dinner, CambsB2B North, and its popular monthly networking events. The newly launched Peterborough Top 100 Awards will culminate in a prestigious awards presentation at the Centenary Dinner on 24 September.
The Peterborough Top 100 Awards shine a spotlight on the individuals whose ambition, resilience and leadership help drive the city forward. Shaped over centuries by industry, innovation and community, Peterborough has always been defined by its people. For the past 100 years, the Chamber has played a central role in supporting that progress, championing local enterprise and civic leadership.
Nominees can be individuals from businesses, community organisations or civic life whose work makes a positive difference to Peterborough and the wider region.

Categories include:
🔹 Business Leader – Recognises an individual demonstrating outstanding leadership within the business community, driving growth, resilience and success in the local economy through vision, strategic direction and ethical practice.
🔹 Civic Leader – Celebrates exceptional leadership in public, voluntary or civic life, honouring those whose influence and advocacy strengthen the city and improve quality of life for residents.
🔹 Rising Star – Highlights emerging talent making a significant early impact, showcasing ambition, drive and potential across sectors or community involvement.
🔹 Innovator – Acknowledges individuals who introduce new ideas and creative solutions that drive progress, transformation or measurable improvement.
🔹 Talent Champion – Recognises those who actively nurture, support and develop others through training, mentoring, inclusivity and investment in people’s growth.
🔹 Environmental Impact Champion – Celebrates leadership in sustainability and environmental action, from climate initiatives to practices that protect or enhance the natural environment.
🔹 Global Growth Champion – Honours individuals who elevate Peterborough’s profile nationally or internationally, building partnerships, expanding markets or attracting investment.
🔹 Workplace Champion – Recognises those creating positive, inclusive and supportive workplaces where people can thrive, and promoting wellbeing, equality and strong organisational culture.
🔹 Community Impact – Celebrates dedication to community wellbeing, volunteering, grassroots leadership and efforts that strengthen neighbourhoods and social support networks.
Nominations are now open, and businesses and residents are encouraged to nominate themselves or someone else who they believe is helping to shape Peterborough’s present and future.
