Employees whose futures are threatened by the administration of restaurant chain Pizza Hut are being offered the opportunity to apply for positions at major Cambridgeshire bus operator Stagecoach East.
Pizza Hut looks set to close 68 restaurants and 11 delivery sites in the UK with the loss of 1,210 jobs, after the firm running them – DC London Pie Limited – fell into administration.
Stagecoach East is a major local employer, running services across the region, from bases in Bedford, Cambridge, Fenstanton, Haverhill and Peterborough, employing colleagues in a wide range of roles including Driving, Engineering, Office Support, and Presentation. In total, over 830 colleagues currently work for the bus operator across our region.
