Following the Peterborough Growth Summit, we have published an open letter to the political panel members who took part in the discussion, reflecting the clear and consistent messages shared by our business community.
The Summit was oversubscribed and brought together employers and stakeholders from across the city. Businesses were candid about the barriers to growth, including perception, aspiration and planning, as well as the pressures they face around labour costs, access to talent and taxation.
Importantly, the message was also one of confidence. Despite the challenges, 69% of businesses told us they feel confident or very confident about the future.
This letter sets out those insights and confirms the next step. Building on our established engagement with local businesses, the Chamber will convene further discussion with political leaders to help turn ambition into tangible progress for Peterborough’s economy.
