Cambridge’s biggest bus operator has highlighted the great value of using the Park & Rides to get into the city – on a comfortable and reliable service that avoids the stress and hardship of having to drive through the traffic in the city centre and then find a parking space.
Stagecoach East has consistently delivered great value options for travel and, with its regular annual announcement of new fares for the Park & Rides, which will go live from 22nd February, Adults can get into the city for less than the price of a high-street latte, and, often, for much less than parking in Cambridge City Centre.
Adult Returns will now cost just £4.50, offering free parking for up to 18 hours and letting you take up to four children under five years old for free. A Park and Ride return is eligible for use on the Park & Ride service it is bought on. To use more than one bus, a Town Zone DayRider is £6.50. Meanwhile, Child Returns will be just £1.
If you are going for a trip out with friends and family, a Small Group DayRider will be only £9, allowing travel for up to three people, whereas a Large Group DayRider will be only £13 for up to five people.
In contrast, just one Strawberry Coconut Matcha Iced Latte from Costa costs £6.25, whereas parking for over five hours, at the weekend, in the Grand Arcade Car Park costs £36.10.

The full price list for Cambridge’s Park & Rides, from 22nd February, will be:
- Adult Return –- £4.50 – Up to 18 hours free parking and a rapid return journey.
- Child Return –- £1 – For children aged five to 15.
- Return –- £3.80 – Short-hop returns between Babraham Road Park & Ride and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and between Newmarket Road Park & Ride and the Abbey Stadium (on match days).
- Small Group DayRider –- £9 – Three passengers travelling together.
- Large Group DayRider –- £13 – Five passengers travelling together.
