UK inflation has moved back in the wrong direction, rising from 2.6% in June to 2.9% in July. While the increase was widely expected, it is a signal that inflation is likely to rise across the latter half of 2026.

After welcoming more than 26,000 visitors, Travelling Bricks at Peterborough Cathedral has now drawn to a close, marking a hugely successful summer season and demonstrating the important role the Cathedral plays in attracting visitors, increasing city-centre footfall and connecting audiences with the wider cultural and business life of Peterborough.
Over the course of the exhibition which began in July, thousands of people from Peterborough, the surrounding region and further afield have visited the Cathedral, helping to increase footfall in the city centre and creating opportunities for visitors to experience more of what Peterborough has to offer.
