A free guided tour of some of the city centre’s prominent pieces of street art has been organised by Peterborough Positive to launch their new pocket map celebrating the growing collection of artwork that brightens the city centre.
Street art fans will be able to book onto one of two tours led by Nathan Murdoch, Tony Nero, Peterborough Civic Society and Peterborough Positive. The tours will give people the opportunity to understand why specific designs were chosen, explore the creative process behind each piece, and learn more about the history of the locations where the artwork has been created.
The new map highlights six murals commissioned by the Business Improvement District, alongside nine additional pieces created by acclaimed street artist Nathan Murdoch in collaboration with other local artists. Designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore the city centre, the map offers an accessible way to discover the stories, colour and creativity woven into Peterborough’s streetscape.

The tour gives people the chance to hear the stories behind the designs directly from the artists and learn more about what inspired them.”
Printed maps can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, the Town Hall, and a digital version is available to download from the Peterborough Positive website.
