Cambridgeshire’s biggest bus operator, Stagecoach East, is celebrating after one of the key members of its team was revealed as a finalist at the UK’s biggest bus operator’s national awards scheme.
Finalists for the Stagecoach Excellence Awards are named from more than 26,000 colleagues across the country.
Tracey-Anne Hancox is Business Support Lead and is widely respected for her organisation and leadership. She has driven the operator’s Health and Wellbeing scheme, establishing a group of Health and Wellbeing Champions, who she ensures have the training and support they need to carry out their vital and demanding roles.
Stagecoach East’s Health and Wellbeing Champions respond to support requests, delivering one-to-one support where needed, plus spending time at events, such as speaking direct to over 100 customers, in person, on World Mental Health Day.
Tracey-Anne is also a constant force behind Stagecoach East’s charity work, developing a growing list of charity-partners and encouraging local depots to get involved and support their Depot Charity. Local charities that she works with include Magpas Air Ambulance, Bedford MS Therapy Centre, EACH East Anglia Children’s Hospices and Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall.

Stagecoach East has a proud history of awards success. Last November it was named ‘Winner of Winners’ at the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards 2025. The operator was praised by judges for its impressive record of sustainable growth alongside the “creative and inspiring difference it makes to its local economy.”
