Employee benefit and reward survey results announced
September 8, 2022
Local employee benefit specialists and financial advisers EBCam Ltd share the results from their first annual employee benefit and reward survey.
EBCam launched an employee benefits and rewards survey earlier this year and invited local businesses to take part to aid them in benchmarking their rewards and benefits.
Now, having closed the survey last month, EBCam has shared this years’ results with respondents.
James Bolton, Managing Director, said: “We were thrilled with the take up from the survey in its first year. Many local firms took part providing good quality benchmarking data at a time when benefits have never been so important. We know the “great resignation” as it is being dubbed, is far from over. Having a strong, competitive, and modern reward and benefits package in place will help employers to retain the staff they already have, and recruit others too.”
EBCam will be sharing snippets of information obtained through the survey via their LinkedIn page weekly in September, and the full survey results have already been issued to respondents.
Some key findings include:
- The most popular employee benefits were Life Assurance (88%) and Private Medical Insurance (86%)
- 76% of respondents said they use salary sacrifice for employee pension contributions, allowing both the employer and the employee to save National Insurance
- 33% of respondents offer their employees financial education sessions, with a further 33% saying they do not currently offer their employees financial education sessions but would like to in the future.
The cost-of-living crisis is affecting many people and providing financial education is one way to help improve employee well-being
“The survey gave us the opportunity to add further context to the conversations we are having with our clients and prospective clients around what employees want, need and value both now and in the future while enabling organisations to gain valuable insight into what other businesses are doing, that perhaps they are not.”
James added: “We look forward to re-launching the survey in early 2023 and continuing to grow this over many years to come.”
Any organisations who did not take part for 2022 but would be interested in understanding more about the results or taking part in the 2023 survey should email info@ebcam.co.uk to get signed up.
