National Apprenticeship Week 2024! #NAW2024
National Apprenticeship Week is an annual celebration across the UK to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships. This years national themes is #skillsforlife.
The Chamber has collaborated with a number of businesses, apprentices and training providers across our region to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships.
NAW2024 ran from 5th – 11th February 2024. Each day celebrated a different aspect of #apprenticehsips and #skillsforlife.
Monday – Apprenticeships for All
Apprenticeships are open to all. All ages. All sectors. All levels. All backgrounds.
Apprenticeships develop people with the skills employers need and benefit the economy. They provide a route into successful and fulfilling careers.
Employer Tuesday –
Employer Tuesday gave businesses the opportunities to promote themselves and their work with apprenticeship schemes. Employers were encouraged to showcase the range of apprenticeship opportunities they have available and to recruit for any current apprenticeship vacancies.
Apprentice Wednesday –
A mid-week celebration for current and former apprentices. Spreading the word on how their apprenticeships have given them #skillsforlife, and what they are able to achieve thanks to their apprenticeship.
T-Level Thursday –
A day to promote alternate methods of gaining qualifications and training. There are lots of other skills programmes both locally and nationally. These include T-Levels, Skills Bootcamps, Multiply and Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
Celebration Friday –
#NAW2024! We put a spotlight on employer and apprentice success stories, and some remarkable accomplishments created by apprenticeships.
The NAW Weekender –
The NAW Weekender was an opportunity for the Chamber to promote and highlight how others are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week!
