Sustainable Tech 4 Good Laptops4Learning’s 2023 Christmas Appeal.

December 12, 2023

There is a need to expand our work and bring digital inclusion to many more people in our county this Christmas and are appealing for local businesses to support our Christmas campaign!

Our L4L technical couriers will be collecting tech on the science parks and elsewhere across the City & Cambridgeshire as a whole over the next few weeks, right up to Christmas. Whatever you have, should it be just one laptop, or many more devices, can make a real difference to someone in need this Christmas!

Please get in touch and use your surplus tech to bring the gift of digital inclusion to many more people in Cambridgeshire this Christmas!

Call us on 01438 741718, or learn more at www.SustainableTech4Good.co.uk

Below we have some feedback from some of our partner Charities, showing the real impact technology provides to the people within our County.

Thank you very much

Sue & the Team.

Abbey People…
“Receiving Laptops from Laptops4Learning has been a huge help to us at Abbey People. With the cost of living crisis affecting our costs as well as increased need amongst our beneficiaries, the donation of laptops and tech devices meant we’ve been able to help more people access digital support and that more people can get involved in our coding club.

I’d like to urge any companies that are upgrading their technology to donate them to Laptops 4 Learning and help other charities like us!”
Nicky Shepard, CEO Abbey People

Jimmy’s Cambridge…
“Jimmy’s Cambridge are happy to be working with Laptops4Learning and are hugely grateful for our first donated Laptop, which was awarded to an ex-resident who has now successfully moved into independent accommodation.

Many of Jimmy’s residents and service users experience personal difficulties and circumstances that form barriers to digital inclusion during their stay with us, and these barriers become entrenched over time.

Laptops4Learning are working to break down these barriers with the work they do.”

Cambridge Refugee Resettlement Campaign…
“CRRC is very proud of the work we have undertaken in supplying free devices to Ukrainian arrivals and, latterly, to Afghan and Sudanese families fleeing repressive regimes and civil war.

None of this would have been possible without the strong relationship we have developed with Laptops4Learning. We know from the messages of thanks we receive that this service has made a huge difference to many hundreds of lives across the county.”
My daughter and I wanted to thank you for this wonderful opportunity to continue our studies. Today in the morning a nice couple brought us a chromebook for my daughter so she could keep on doing her studies and practice some English. We are really grateful! Lots of thanks! Mariana.

It Takes a City…
Whether distributed to those staying at our Crossways winter provision, at which we accommodate individuals who have recently been rough sleeping in Cambridge, or to those that we support in longer term accommodation, the devices donated by Laptops4Learning are invaluable.

They enable people to stay in touch with all the agencies assisting them on their pathway out of homelessness, and more besides.
