Chamber Christmas Lunch
Join us for our annual Christmas Lunch in the most magnificent Hall within the Colleges of Cambridge. The Great Hall is a splendid room housed in a 16th century building with an impressive hammerbeam roof and fine old linen fold panelling.
Not only will you enjoy a three-course festive menu, but you will also have the opportunity to make those final 2021 connections through networking with local businesses.
Enjoy some mulled wine or sparking elderflower on arrival before enjoying a fabulous three course meal in the beautiful surrounding of the Great Hall.
Our guest speaker is British rower Imogen Grant. Imogen made her senior GB Rowing Team debut at the first World Cup of the year in 2018, going on to become World U23 champion the same year.
There will also be a Christmas raffle in aid of our Charity of the Year, Anna’s Hope.
Don’t miss out and book your place now!
About Imogen:
Having learned to row at Trinity College, Cambridge, in 2014, Imogen has had a meteoric rise to the top, getting her first taste of international success in the Cambridge University Women’s BC eight that took gold at the 2015 European Universities Rowing Championships.
In 2016, she rowed in the CUWBC lightweight eight and reserve boat before moving up to the Blue Boat for both the 2017 and 2018 Women’s Boat Races, won by Cambridge. In 2017 she also competed in the lightweight women’s quad at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Plovdiv, finishing fifth.
Later in 2018, alongside training to be a doctor, Imogen was selected to row the lightweight single scull at the first World Cup of the year in Belgrade, finishing an impressive fourth place. She went on to row in the same boat class at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poznan, taking a dominant gold by nearly two lengths.
Imogen partnered Ellie Piggott in the lightweight double sculls at the 2019 European Championships and second World Cup, finishing 4th and 8th respectively. She won another superb gold medal in the lightweight single sculls at the third World Cup of the season, before claiming World Championships bronze with Emily Craig in the lightweight double.
