We’re delighted to have The Mayor Cllr Andrew Croft with us on the evening to open the event, give some history on Stamford and give a short insight into upcoming plans for the area.

Dawson of Stamford Ltd has been a well known part of Stamford for over thirty years.

Established in 1974, John Dawson set up a work shop in the building at the bottom of his garden and, using his skills as a goldsmith and diamond mounter, specialised in the restoration of antique jewellery and handmade commission pieces.

In 1976 he opened a shop in Stamford to sell his jewellery, as well as his growing collections of antique furniture, fine art and obscure ‘objects’.

Over the past thirty years antiques has now become a large part of their business and they can now boast one of the most comprehensive and unusual collections of antique furniture and decorative objects in the east of England, as well as an exciting and extensive range of 18ct gold and platinum fine jewellery.
