Mike Greene – Channel 4 Secret Millionaire, Growth & Strategy Mentor, Passionate Leader, Experienced Chairman, CEO & Director (Exec & NED)

Mike will be the host of panel 2.

Mike Greene is a self-made millionaire who grew up in Peterborough and attributes his success to starting work at the age of seven.

In 2011, he took part in the Channel 4 programme Secret Millionaire, returning to the council estate where he spent his childhood in Peterborough, volunteering at the New Ark Adventure Playground and the ‘Time Stop’ YMCA hostel.

Ian Currie – Sizewell C Supply Chain

Ian Currie is the Supply Chain Business Manager within the Sizewell C Supply Chain Engagement Team at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

Over the last 3 and a half years, Ian has worked with the Sizewell C Project to help position local and regional companies to win business and deliver on the Environmental and Social Governance commitments the project made in its’ planning application to construct a new nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast.
A Chartered Engineer and, prior to transitioning to the energy sector, Ian has a background in the Aerospace and Defence Sector with experience of operational delivery, major procurement programme assurance, business development and business strategy roles.

John Barker – Newlands Developments

John joined Newlands in May 2019. He has worked in the industrial and logistics sector for the last 19 years, where he began his career at Matthews & Goodman before moving to GVA/Avison Young. There, he headed up the London and South East Team. John produced impressive results for a number of UK based funds, developers and occupiers – both from an acquisition and disposal perspective. Since joining Newlands, John has been involved in major projects at Peterborough, Northampton, Thrapston, Basingstoke and Cambridge in regards to land assembly, planning and occupier discussions.

Jo Sainsbury – Arup

Jo is Director at Arup, leading holistic design teams on a range of projects across London, Cambridge, and the East of England. She brings over 20 years’ experience, working on a range of projects both in the UK and internationally, particularly in the residential, commercial and life science sectors. Highlights include the London 2012 Paralympics venue Eton Manor, The Walbrook in Central London, and more recently the London Cancer Hub in Sutton.

She has a passion for integrated design and believes that a collaborative design culture is the key to creating successful sustainable development, which is user focused, energy efficient and adaptable for the future.

Jo is also dedicated to enhancing education opportunities for young people locally, having spent two years working with colleges in Cambridgeshire to develop new apprenticeship programmes for the built environment and manufacturing sectors.

Dave Bendell – Oxford Energy Academy

Director of OEA Academies.

Dave is a fully qualified Gas/Plumbing & Renewable Tutor/Assessor/IV.
Dave is passionate about providing training opportunities to people that wish to come into the industry.
