Peterborough Women’s Aid Charity Ball

Would you like to sponsor this event? Opportunities are going fast! Peterborough Women’s Aid is the largest domestic abuse charity in Cambridgeshire. We specialise in delivering services tailored to the needs of our community. We are the first organisation to open projects supporting victims from the South Asian, Lithuanian and Polish Communities.

The B-United project is unique in exclusively supporting male victims, and this year we launched E-scape, working on prevention with children and young people. Anne’s House opened in January, a safe place for women to seek support. The first of its kind in the region, Anne’s House offers an internet café, library, free shop, prayer room and group work. Peterborough Women’s Aid also supports women fleeing domestic abuse, at high risk of being killed, through our refuge service.

In 2023 we had 666 referrals into our services, an increase of 27% compared to the previous year.

Peterborough Women’s Aid has over 3000 followers on Facebook and our recent post about Anne’s House reached 220,000 people with 59,000 people engaging with our work. Over the last year our CEO has appeared on ITV Anglia News, Greatest Hits Radio, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, The Peterborough Telegraph and BBC Look East online.
Peterborough Women’s Aid relies heavily on donations from individuals and businesses to keep out lifesaving services open. We are a growing organisation committed to ending domestic abuse. Please join us on our journey.
