Join us for the official launch of the refreshed Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) 2026-2029, developed by Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce in a strategic partnership with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA).
This LSIP sets out eight priorities to close that gap: building higher-level and technical skills pipelines, reversing the decline in youth apprenticeships, strengthening foundational skills in care, construction and logistics, and helping employers navigate the new Growth and Skills Levy. It’s grounded in a robust evidence base, including a 341-strong employer survey and 70 in-depth stakeholder interviews, and designed as a living document, reviewed annually to keep pace with our fast-changing economy.
The event will be opened by Paul Bristow, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, setting out his vision for a skills system that helps local people share in the region’s growth. You’ll hear directly from the Chamber and CPCA on the priorities shaping the next three years, with plenty of opportunity to discuss what the plan means for your organisation and community.
