We’re looking for a Content Strategist who delights in digital content to build winning strategies with world-class clients.

If you want to join a brilliant team of content specialists in Cambridge and apply your strategic instincts to projects which make a positive impact on the world, then we’d love to hear from you.

***About the role***

Strategy is a crucial element in any of our projects. Working with marketing teams in the public sector, education and established B2B organisations who are juggling multiple channels and communities, our role is to untangle their thinking and deliver clear-headed strategic guidance to help them achieve their business goals.

This role is ideal if you have a foot in two camps; you understand strategic frameworks for commercially focused content marketing, but you’re not so theoretical that you’ve lost the joy of creating a wittily worded social media post or capturing that perfectly framed picture that really tells a story.

You’ll be someone who loves working with talented colleagues and freelancers in video, copywriting, design and animation to achieve brilliant things together in line with our clients’ strategic goals.

And you’ll also enjoy building lasting relationships, being generous with your knowledge and upskilling clients in the latest digital trends and techniques so we develop a valued partnership where the strategy is as effective as can be.

***Key duties***

• Devise ambitious and actionable digital marketing strategies for clients in the public sector, education, B2B and more.
• Lead the discovery process, hosting strategy workshops and gathering key information about the target audience, competitors, and business goals.
• Work with data specialists at Sookio to unearth key insights, set KPIs, and benchmark progress.
• Prepare content audits and content calendars to lay the foundations for a successful strategy.
• Deliver monthly consultancy, content planning activities and training sessions with in-house marketing teams.
• Contribute to the sales process, always looking for ways in which our clients can benefit through additional content creation, strategy services and training.
• Develop Sookio’s own marketing strategy and creative content, leading quarterly planning sessions to keep us on track.
• Manage digital and social media content (though more typically guiding in-house team or junior team members to do so).
• Oversee junior creatives and freelance animators and designers, planning content, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality control.

***This job will be perfect if you***

• Understand the framework for data-driven content strategy which will engage audiences, amplify key messages and lead to commercial success for our clients.
• Have a genuine interest in web content, social media and digital trends – across any sector, channel or platform.
• Can turn marketing jargon into clear, concise advice that gets clients excited about the potential for strategic digital marketing which will achieve their business ambitions.
• Love nurturing relationships with clients so you become a trusted sounding board and develop creative marketing ideas together.

***You need to be***

• A confident communicator with an excellent command of the English language in both spoken and written communication.
• Organised. You’ll be setting KPIs, timelines and action plans, so you need to stay on top of tasks and the scope of work too.
• Curious! Digital marketing is a fast changing world. You won’t have all the answers but you’ll be keen to dig into the data find them.
