The Income Generation and Communications team manages relationships throughout our community increasing awareness of the charity and raising funds to contribute to the cost of our care. We have an opportunity for an Events Assistant to join this team to contribute to this vital work to support our charity.

We welcome applications from candidates who prefer part time hours (30 per week) up to full time (37.5 per week) and are happy to discuss working hours and patterns. We are able to offer hybrid working options once the initial training and induction period has been completed.

The role will be responsible for providing event and administrative support in the creation, promotion and delivery of high quality, audience-led events, challenges, and fundraising initiatives. This involves engaging new people and deepening relationships with existing supporters to increase participant numbers, income and awareness of the charity’s work and encourage longer term support.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working within roles which has provided administrative and customer service support. It is also a requirement to have good organisation and prioritising skills along with the ability to communicate and engage with different stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to work events or attend fundraising opportunities in the evening or at weekends as needed, we have a TOIL system in place to manage any hours worked outside of usual working hours. It is also a requirement to hold a clean driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Starting salary of £22,816, with opportunities to progress to £24,336. We regret that we are unable to negotiate salary.
The salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro-rata’d for part time posts.
