Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Engagement & Communications Executive to join our LSIP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging for the LSIP project.

Duties include:

· Carry out research and engage with a range of stakeholders to better understand the challenges employers have reported relating to understanding of skills issues. Key areas include navigating the skills system, transferrable skills and the evolving areas of digitalisation and green skills.

· Oversee the development of communication and marketing content aimed at simplifying the skills system for employers, promoting best practice in relation to engagement with skills and raising awareness of project activities.

· Proactively identify opportunities to create useful content, individually or in conjunction with stakeholders. Organise the required steps (venue, speakers/supporting stakeholders, props/tools).

· Planning the release of content via social media channels and campaigns to target key audiences and raise engagement levels. Including written content, presentations and videos.

· Engage with Chamber staff and wider stakeholders in identifying the most appropriate way to tailor communications – simplifying complex information about the education and skills system, into content that is understandable to a range of businesses.

· Creative, with a basic knowledge of media and communication tools

· Ability to produce high quality and engaging multi-media marketing and communication content (desirable)

· Stakeholder engagement experience (desirable)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
