This is a great opportunity to join Cambridgeshire’s leading business networking organisation, which uniquely supports its membership within this important area of the UK economy. Our role as a leading business network is to play a critical part of the support companies of all sizes need, especially around the recovery from lockdown and all the changes following the UKs departure from the EU with international trade.

We are one of 53 accredited British Chambers of Commerce and you will be working alongside an outstanding team which covers the whole Cambridgeshire region.

The Chamber is making substantial investments in an exciting new member focussed strategy. The successful candidate will therefore be an important pace setter when it comes to fulfilling our business development plans.

The successful candidate will help develop the membership offer to create a value proposition to enhance our recruitment and retention activity.

You will operate from our Oakington office and report directly to the Head of Membership. Attendance at breakfast and evening events will be required.

Duties Include:
The role will cover all aspects of membership recruitment and sales development across the Cambridgeshire region.

  • Implementing the strategic plan for membership recruitment and retention
  • Selling membership across our geographic territory
  • Collaboration with colleagues to ensure the strategic plan for membership can be delivered
  • Utilise the Chambers’ resources to deliver target membership growth
  • Building the value proposition of membership by sharing Chamber social media posts through your own social media platforms
  • Attending Chamber events and other networking forums to engage with prospective and existing Chamber members
  • Respond to incoming enquiries from prospective members, provide information on benefits of membership and follow up as appropriate.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Able to communicate with people on all levels
  • Full UK driving licence and suitable car insured for business use
  • Evidence of sales experience will be required at interview stage
  • Ability to have a flexible approach to working as some events are out of normal working hours.
