We are currently expanding our retail portfolio with the aim to increase awareness of our work and raise vital funds to contribute to the cost of our care. To support this, we have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Area Manager to join us in a new role!

This is a permanent role, initially based out of March but with the responsibility to cover and travel between our retail operations across North Cambridgeshire. The working hours are 37.5 per week, worked over 5 days on a rota basis which includes weekends.

As Retail Area Manager you will be responsible for supporting our charity shops and retail premises, with an initial focus on overseeing the opening of new shops across Cambridgeshire.

This role will have responsibility for maximising financial contribution to the charity, through high standards of presentation, customer service, performance management and operational effectiveness.

Main duties will include:

Supporting the Head of Retail in opening of new shops across Cambridgeshire
Line Management
Controlling expenditure and delivering net contribution.
Analysing reports and commercial information to improve the performance of stores and retail premises.
Identifying current retail trends and monitor competitor activity, reporting and responding where appropriate
Identifying underachieving shops and create plans to support their development.
Working in accordance with the retail strategy and with the support of Head of Retail implement new plans/ideas to achieve charity targets
Deputising for the Head of Retail, as required
Having oversight of staffing to ensure all premises are operational during trading hours.
To be successful in the role you will have previous experience within the retail industry, specifically with multi-site retail management with experience of income and expenditure reporting. It is essential to have previous experience in line management of staff.

Due to the nature of the role, it is a requirement to hold a full driving license and have access to a car for work purposes.
