The Cambridgeshire Chamber is expanding the LSIP Project Team and are looking for someone to join us who has great people skills. The role will involve traveling Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, engaging with businesses, training providers, local authorities and more.

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

Contract: 2 years fixed term contract

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00

Location: Central office is based in Oakington, Cambridge, CB24

Duties include:

• To develop and execute a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, setting out targeted activities in a timely manner to meet the aims and objectives of the project.
• To work as part of the LSIP Project Team to strategically engage businesses, training providers and other organisations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
• To support and carry out work to understand stakeholder views on the skills environment of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, leading discussions on skills as well as understanding and supporting wider business aims
• To develop and maintain relationships with both member and non-member businesses, actively listening to the needs of businesses and making appropriate referrals and introductions
• To facilitate business introductions to provide additional value to both member and non-member businesses through the LSIP project.
• To carry out prep for each stakeholder engagement meeting, understanding the objectives of the business, as well as how well connected they are with the Chamber
• To manage business’ expectations, making sure enquiries and requests for services are dealt with appropriately in a timely fashion, as well as delivering a consistent and fair service across the region
• To support the LSIP Project Manager in hosting events and focus groups to build relationships with stakeholders.
• To write communications for engagement activities and promotional campaigns.
• To maintain accurate and timely records via the Chamber’s CRM system, training provided.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong networking and communication skills
• Strong written communication
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to interpret information and make connections
• Commercially astute – a broad understanding of business needs, such as finance, marketing and sales and the challenges that SMEs face
• A broad understanding of the region’s skills agenda is desirable
• Full UK driving license and suitable car insured for business use
