Two members of the team at Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce have been shortlisted for prestigious national honours at this year’s British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Awards, recognising exceptional leadership and contribution across the UK Chamber Network.
Zoë Brennan, Events and Training Manager, has been named a finalist in the Rising Star Award category, while Chief Executive, Charlotte Horobin has been shortlisted for the President’s Award, recognising outstanding leadership and lasting impact within the Chamber Network and the wider business community.
Zoë joined the Chamber five years ago as Events Coordinator and has since progressed to lead the organisation’s events and training programme. Today, she oversees the delivery of more than 115 events each year, bringing together thousands of businesses from across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Stamford to connect, share ideas and grow.
During her time at the Chamber, Zoë has successfully led the relaunch of the flagship CambsB2B exhibitions, creating a model that has since been adopted by Chambers elsewhere in the UK. She has also played a key role in the Chamber’s rebrand and website redevelopment, while becoming a recognised ambassador for the organisation through speaking engagements, media interviews and podcasts. Alongside this, she champions the Chamber’s Local Skills Improvement Plan, promotes work experience opportunities and actively supports local charitable initiatives.
Charlotte Horobin, Chief Executive at Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, commented: “Zoë’s passion, professionalism and commitment to our members is exceptional. Charlotte has been shortlisted for the President’s Award in recognition of her transformational leadership since becoming Chief Executive three years ago.
Under Charlotte’s leadership, the Chamber has strengthened its influence across the region and nationally, expanding its membership, increasing its international engagement and driving significant investment in both the organisation and its people. She has championed the voice of business through strong partnerships with government, local authorities, education providers and industry, while playing a leading role in shaping major economic development and skills initiatives across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Her leadership has elevated the Chamber’s profile, strengthened its strategic influence and reinforced its position as one of the leading voices representing businesses across the region.

The BCC Chamber Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and leadership across the UK Chamber Network, recognising individuals and organisations that are making a significant contribution to business communities nationwide.
Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony later this year.
