Cambridgeshire business secures key deals overseas with Chamber support
As the UK’s projected economic growth for 2025 has been revised down from two per cent to one per cent, the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce is helping local businesses find new opportunities abroad. GCE Hire Fleet, a specialist in construction service products, is one such success story, having recently expanded into Ghana with the Chamber’s support.

The Chamber began by providing in depth market research, helping the company understand Ghana’s regulatory landscape, buyer expectations, and cultural differences. From there, the team facilitated direct introductions with buyers, arranged site visits, and supported face-to-face meetings in country.

Chamber staff accompanied the company during their Ghana visit, offering strategic support during key meetings. As a result, GCE Hire Fleet is now developing long term partnerships with buyers in West Africa.
