· Financial information on board

· Health & Wellbeing Champions give support

Drivers, Engineers, and Support Teams for Cambridgeshire’s biggest bus operator have jumped on board a specially modified bus to learn about how to improve their financial wellbeing, and that of their families.

Stagecoach East’s Wellbeing on Wheels (WoW) Bus has visited its roughly 800 colleagues, who serve the region, encouraging colleagues to learn more about personal and family financial wellbeing and opportunities.

They were able to find out about ways to improve their personal finances, with information on subjects such as, pensions, savings and debt management, including a video on the most asked questions on their workplace pensions by Engineering Manager and Stagecoach East Pension Representative, Peter Collins.

To encourage conversations on the, sometimes taboo, topic of money, there were also two games for colleagues to enjoy: Savings Pong and Guess How Much is in the Jar.

Darren Roe, Managing Director of Stagecoach East, added: “In today’s hectic world, financial wellbeing is such an important subject, so we make absolutely no apologies for continuing to help tackle it – we want to give our team the information they need to make the right personal-finance choices for them. So, I am very grateful to Tracey-Anne Hancox and Peter, as well as our Champions along with support from Gavin Morris, Regional Manager of the Money & Pensions Service who have given information and materials to share with our team.

“One of our fundamental values is that ‘we are stronger together’, so it is very important that we support our colleagues at every stage as they grow as part of our team. It is wonderful to see the WoW Bus out and about, along with the work of our Health & Wellbeing Champions, offering support, and getting across the message that help will be there if it is ever needed.”
