Will Phelan

Principal, Stamford Endowed Schools
Vice-Chair, Stamford Chamber of Commerce

Will came to Stamford nine years ago to become Headmaster of Stamford School. He is now in his fourth year as the Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools, which employs 555 people and is the biggest employer in Stamford and produces one per cent of the GDP of Lincolnshire.

A historian, Will is proud to be associated with our historic town and one of the Key Strategic Objectives of the schools is “Becoming Stamford” seeking to ensure a close link between the town and the schools.

He became a member of the Chamber to develop this relationship and also seek ways to ensure that the relationship grows. Will lives in Stamford and counts cricket, golf and running (slowly) as his interests.
